intuVision VA Post-Processing

intuVision VA Post-Processing leverages the full reliability and depth of event analytics from all our application modules, bringing these capabilities to your archived video. This enables much faster-than-realtime video processing onsite, without the need to upload to the cloud or wait for third-party processing times.

intuVision VA Post-Processing can be used with any of our six application modules: Parking, Retail, Security, Traffic, Face Detection & Matching, and Text Detection.

Using Post-Processing is simple: just point intuVision VA to the video file(s), enter the recording time, add basic settings (including the events of interest), and start the processing task. The video will be processed automatically, and events will be available through counts, reports, or individually with snapshots.

Post-Processing supports most video file types, provided your computer has the necessary codecs. It can also ingest video recorded in compatible Video Management Systems, such as ExacqVision and Milestone.

intuVision Traffic

The Traffic domain is historically the primary user of intuVision Post-Processing. It serves as an ideal alternative to overseas manual traffic counting services. Traffic studies typically involve cameras with onboard storage but limited infrastructure to support video analytics. These studies may last from 7 days to several weeks before the camera is moved to a new location. intuVision Post-Processing is perfectly suited to support these studies, allowing video to be offloaded from the camera, processed within a few hours, while only being charged for the processing time used.

Common use cases include:

• Vehicle counting &classification
• Turn counts
• Speed detection
• Congestion detection

With intuVision's unique setup, these events (and more) can be captured from a single pass of the video, saving time and computational resources while providing your customers with richer data.

intuVision Parking & Retail

intuVision Post-Processing can be applied in parking and retail applications for short-term studies or to collect data outside of real-time analytics periods. Use cases include:

• Pop-up events, which are not going to be running for long enough to set up full real-time processing, or because of infrastructure constraints.
• Site studies, where information is needed from many different parking areas in order to determine parking use percentage, or to plan for additional parking.
• Historical data, processing data from before video analytics implementation, such as analyzing data from previous holidays to plan for upcoming seasonal events.

intuVision Security

In the security domain, Post-Processing is often used to detect incidents that occur in unexpected locations. While real-time analytics on all cameras in a facility or area would be ideal for immediate security alerts, this is not always feasible. intuVision Post-Processing can process data 30-40 times faster than real-time (depending on the processing computer’s speed), providing rapid insights and minimizing manual labor.

intuVision Face Detection & Matching

While intuVision Post-Processing is useful for quickly processing data after a security breach to track individuals of interest across various camera views, it is also effective for enrollment. To add new individuals to the system, intuVision VA Face requires enrollment from video. This can be easily done through Post-Processing, for instance, with a compatible VMS like ExacqVision.
