Short Term Parking Event is available in intuVision VA’s Parking module.
Short Term Parking monitors the selected spots such as visitor or delivery parking, generating alerts when a vehicle exceeds the allowed parking duration. Parking times can range from seconds, minutes, hours, to days with flexibility to meet the requirements of a wide range of use cases such as monitoring timed visitor spots, loading zones, 30-minutes to 2-hour municipality parking areas, even tracking vehicles parked in EV-charging spots or left overnight in garages.
In setting up this event, a convenient grid with customizable columns and rows, facilitates easy demarcation of the parking spots. intuVision VA classification learns what comprises a full vs. empty parking space allows tailoring Parking Occupancy detection to any scene.
Depending on the parking facility layout and camera position, typical camera views for outdoor lots allow coverage for 25-40 parking spots, and for garages 5-10 parking spots, while cameras monitoring street-side parking typically cover 12-20 parking spots. For larger parking areas timed spots can be monitored across multiple camera views.
Optional settings are available to fine-tune the event, including:
When combined with output triggers, compound events, and unlimited object classification options, Short Term Parking can be further refined, to be used for meeting custom video analytics requirements with our off-the-shelf product without the need for any development time. For example, parking status can be used as input to paid parking systems to alert when vehicles have exceeded purchased parking duration.
