intuVision VA Core Event - Activity

Activity Event

Activity is a Core Video Analytics Event, available in all intuVision VA modules.

As the name implies, Activity Event detects and alarms on any object activity in the scene or in the specified zones. Unlimited event zones can be used to specify area of interest in the scene.

Optional settings are available to fine-tune the detection, including all Advanced Event Settings.

Settings include:

• Restrict to direction of object motion–to narrow down the detection activity in the specified direction.
• Delay notification until the object exits the zone scene.

Activity is also a frequent building block in compound events to meet custom application requirements, due to its flexibility, especially when used with intuVision’s unlimited object classification and other event specifications.

Sample Use Cases:

• Basic use case –
• Requirement – detect when people are entering grounds after hours.
• Solution – using person classification and schedules, use an Activity Event to filter out all animals and other noise, only alerting on people intruding after hours.
• Used with compound events & classification –
• Requirement – detect people close to train tracks when the train is in motion.
• Solution - use an Activity Event to detect when the train is moving along the train tracks, combine with person activity in the zone (close to the train tracks) to detect and alarm when both are present at the same time.
