intuVision VA Event - No Exit

No Exit is a security and traffic event that detects when an occupant does not leave a parked vehicle after the user specified time.

No Exit Event

No Exit Event is available in intuVision VA’s Security and Traffic modules.

No Exit detects when an occupant does not leave a parked vehicle after the user specified time.

In the security domain, No Exit Event is used to protect parking lots and parked vehicles from being broken into, along with early alerts on suspicious individuals. People who are looking to break into and loot vehicles, will often pull up beside a vehicle, and wait for a long period of time – or will crouch down between vehicles, out of view of the cameras. No Exit event allows the typical behavior of people parking and exiting, while alerting on the suspicious behavior of people lingering in their vehicles. No Exit Event is also configurable to continue alerting when a person is detected, but remains close to their vehicle – i.e. scanning other vehicles for valuables or breaking into them.

In the traffic domain, No Exit can be used to detect a vehicle which has broken down or in which the driver is stuck. It can also be used to detect suspicious people loitering in their vehicles on street side parking or on the sides of roads.

Optional settings are available to fine-tune the event, including:

  • No-exit time in seconds, minutes, or hours – the allowable duration to remain in the vehicle.
  • Distance the occupant must move away from the vehicle.

When combined with compound events and flexible output trigger options, No Exit can be further refined, to be used for meeting custom video analytics requirements with our off-the-shelf product without the need for any development time. For example, a No Exit Event could be paired with an external audio alert detecting broken glass or a vehicle alarm.
