intuVision VA Event - No Activity

 

No Activity is a manufacturing, retail, and security event which, as the name implies, alerts when no activity has been detected in the user marked zone for the set duration.

No Activity Event

No Activity Event is available in intuVision VA’s Manufacturing, Retail, and Security modules.

No Activity as the name implies, alerts when no activity has been detected in the user marked zone for the set duration. Generally used for purposes such as detecting when staff is not at their assigned stations, when security guards fall asleep, or can be used to track usage of meeting rooms and facilities.

In the manufacturing domain, No Activity Event is used to detect machinery stoppages or when employees are out of their designated positions. It is commonly used as a data collection tool, to get a records of employee behavior and machine uptime. Notifications can be sent upon detection of No Activity to plant managers, for quick intervention.

In the retail domain, No Activity Event is used to monitor employees on their rounds or at their designated location. For instance, if a security or sales booth is supposed to be occupied at all times, alerts or data could be collected on employee presence. This can be correlated to employee work schedules to determine which employees are problematic.

In the security domain, No Activity is frequently used to detect if a guard has fallen asleep or is otherwise inactive. With a longer duration, it can also be used to ensure that guards are performing their rounds as required – for instance if no activity is detected in a back entrance area for longer than 30 minutes, it shows that the guard has not performed that part of their rounds.

When combined with compound events and flexible output trigger options, No Activity can be further refined, to be used for meeting custom video analytics requirements with our off-the-shelf product without the need for any development time. For example, the No Activity Event can be with an audio alert to wake up a sleeping security guard.
