intuVision VA Event - No Parking Zone

No Parking is a intuVision VA Traffic event which works with intuVision vehicle classification to detect when a vehicle is parked in a marked zone of interest.

No Parking Zone Event

No Parking Zone Event is available in intuVision VA’s Traffic module.

No Parking works with intuVision vehicle classification to detect when a vehicle is parked in a marked zone of interest using a unique intuVision VA algorithm called the Stationary Object Detector which detects objects which have come to a stop and stay in place, alerting on them after the user set duration.

The zone of interest can be a section of road or the brake-down lane to be alerted when a vehicle has broken down, or a smaller region such as a loading area, a handicap spot to be alerted when a vehicle is parked there. Unlimited number of zones can be used to select alert regions. No Parking Event can be used for many smart city applications, keeping roads clear, monitoring handicap parking spots, keeping loading bays and school pick up zones clear, and much more. intuVision vehicle classification makes possible to differentiate between multiple types of vehicles, for example not alerting on stopping school busses or mail trucks, but only on passenger vehicles.

Optional settings are available to fine-tune the event, including:

  • Idle duration, in seconds, minutes, or hours.
  • Maximum allowable object movement.

When combined with compound events and unlimited object classification options, No Parking Zone Event can be further refined, to be used for meeting custom video analytics requirements with our off-the-shelf product without the need for any development time. For example, in conjunction with classification and person activity detection, it can have a 30-minute allowable unload time for trucks, while alerting on parked passenger vehicles after 5 minutes.
