Capacity Event is available in intuVision VA’s Security and Retail modules.
Capacity detects when the number of objects in the scene exceed the user set limit. Capacity Event is great for tracking busy times in stores and in waiting rooms, or enforcing security in critical areas. Objects can be tracked and maintained individually or as units, for instance two people walking arm-in-arm in a store can be counted as two people or one shopping unit and the capacity limit can be defined by group or by individual object. Additionally, the region for monitoring capacity can be defined by a zone or the entire scene.
Capacity was created as a social distancing tool during the COVID-19 pandemic, it has since been used in many different applications across the security and retail domains. With intuVision VA’s ability to track unlimited numbers of objects within a scene, it can be used for as few as two objects, or upwards of 20, 30, or more.
Optional and advanced settings are available to fine-tune the event, including:
When combined with compound events, Capacity can be further refined, to be used for meeting custom video analytics requirements with our off-the-shelf product without the need for any development time. For example, alerting on over capacity only if a secure door is unlocked.
