Zone Intrusion is a Core Video Analytics Event, available in all intuVision VA modules.
Zone Intrusion detects when an object crosses into a specified zone, for instance approaching a secured building or entrance. Objects first seen within the zone will not alarm, reducing false alerts and allowing definitions of complex event behavior. Vertices can be added to alarm zones to create shapes which follow curves and outlines of protected areas. Multiple event zones can be added to protect multiple areas with one event.
Optional and advanced settings are available to fine-tune the event, including:
Zone Intrusion offers an alternative to Activity or Throughput, restricting the alarm condition and further narrowing the allowed behavior. This is ideal in situations such as a private garden, where there is allowed activity within the garden, but the alert condition is people crossing into the garden from the street.
Further flexibility is given by the ability to customize the percentage of the object crossing into the zone. In one example, a person touching the zone is the alert candidate, such as someone moving too close to a painting in a museum. In another, the person might need to cross entirely into the zone before there is concern, such as a perimeter guard environment.
Using Zone Intrusion in intuVision VA’s compound events along with unlimited, user trained, object classification provides a building block for meeting custom video analytics requirements with our off-the-shelf product without the need for any development time.
