intuVision VA Event - Object Search

Compatible with all intuVision VA Modules, object search returns all objects in the entire scene or a user marked region by classification type, color, camera view, date/time and the duration of the video segment.

intuVision VA Object Search

Object Search is an add-on feature, compatible with all intuVision VA modules.

intuVision VA has the functionality to search for all detected objects based on user selected criteria. Objects can be searched in the entire scene or a user marked region by classification type, color, camera view, date/time and the duration of the video segment. All objects matching the search criteria are returned and displayed, ordered by match to the search criteria. Clicking through each object shows a series of snapshots of the object as it moves through the scene, its motion track in the scene, and optionally a link to the recorded video of the object.

This feature enables investigation of behavior beyond the pre-configured events. During intuVision system setup, events are configured anticipating the behavior of interest in the scene such as intrusion in to a staff only area; while reviewing the detected events seeing the color of the intruder's clothing, one can perform a person search with that color in that neighboring area camera views to understand the intruder's path through the facility. In instances where an incident occurs outside of the configured events, Object Search allows users to look for a person, vehicle by time, camera view, and color without the need to re-process video or manually watch recorded video.

In the manufacturing domain, object tracks can be examined to see frequent paths taken through a shop floor. For example, search for forklifts to see if they go outside the designated paths. Searches by color can be done to see if employees wearing proper PPE or confirm floor managers touring activity through the work shifts.

In the retail domain, track search can be used to see customer and employee behavior – or for security alerts. For example, if an alert of a person shoplifting in a blue sweatshirt was reported to a security staff, they could then narrow the search to the incident area of interest and search only for people with blue clothing. Finding people who match the criteria, security staff can even see the exact path they took through the store using other camera views around that time.

In the security domain, track search can be used during incidents to track offenders throughout the facility. Searching by color, and quickly clicking through possible snapshots makes it easy to identify entry/exit routes taken by perpetrators.

In the traffic domain, object search can be used to find for example trucks or busses traveling outside their designated lanes.

Object searches can be fine-tuned with the optional settings below:

  • Date, time & video segment duration
  • Object classification type and confidence level
  • Camera view
  • Object color
  • Search region within the scene

Retrieved objects can be exported as images or saved as a PDF, for easy sharing and inclusion in reports. If video recording is enabled in intuVision VA or if used with a compatible VMS, the video related to each object can also be viewed.
