Proximity Event is available in intuVision VA’s Manufacturing and Security modules.
Proximity detects when two objects are within the user specified distance from each other. Developed during the COVID-19 social distancing initiatives, this event has found several uses in manufacturing and security domains, alerting on near-misses or people moving too close to machinery.
In the manufacturing domain, Proximity Event is typically used for near-miss detection between a person and a loaded dollies, or other moving equipment. Using intuVision’s object classification, only the objects of interest are selected for the event – for example, people and forklifts.
In the security domain, Proximity can be used to alert in any environment where people are supposed to stay distanced. For example, in the prison environment, there are certain areas or periods of time when prisoners are not allowed to interact with each other or with guards.
Optional settings are available to fine-tune the event, including:
When combined with compound events and flexible output trigger options, Proximity event can be further refined, to be used for meeting custom video analytics requirements with our off-the-shelf product without the need for any development time.
