This period of COVID-19 has caused massive adjustments in daily life, to help allow countries and communities to slow the spread of the virus.
In our last blog post, we focused on how intuVision crowd density detector could be used to alarm if people become too tightly packed. Today we will focus on solutions for retail environments who must limit numbers of customers in the store at one time.
By now you are familiar with intuVision People Counting, capable of providing customer counts with as high an accuracy as 98% as tested by our customers. Building upon this foundation, intuVision Occupancy can ingest entrance and exit information from multiple doors, giving you an accurate idea of the occupancy of your store without requiring manual counts.
intuVision VA is easily deployed into any system with ONVIF compliant RTSP cameras or with one of our integrated VMS systems. And our ability to run a distributed system across Windows computers, means that the intuVision analytics can often be readily deployed without requiring additional hardware.
This functionality can be tied into our I/O device or audio alert integration to offer prompt guidance to customers. For example, a light at the doorway indicating green if more guests can enter the premise and flashing red if the store is full. An audio message can sound if a guest attempts to enter while the store is above capacity.
Another use of intuVision analytics which has been tested during these times is an alert for people not wearing protective face masks. As more and more municipalities begin to require face masks in public, as well as health facilities and retail environments, this is a tool that can either remind through automated messaging, or can alert security staff. Stay tuned to our next blog post and ENews for more details about this.
