intuVision VA has long supported object classification with user-trained categories, intuVision Edge has previously been limited in its object classification functionality. That’s changing with this release!
Leveraging deep learning models has been a game-changer for video analytics on edge devices, and marks a major milestone in our ongoing mission to deliver powerful, efficient video analytics on the edge.
The model-based detection on intuVision Edge, with built-in models for: person, car, bus, truck, bicycle, motorbike, boat, plane, backpack, umbrella, handbag, suitcase, and more, results in high-accuracy object detection and tracking — even in challenging environments with background noise, camera jitter, and lighting changes such as shadows or glare.
The detailed classification options enable nuanced notifications and alarms by object type — offering targeted monitoring and highly context-aware analytics right at the edge.
