The new RTSP video output with object markings and event zones will enable us to provide our customers a rich visual display of the analytics in action, and enables us to bring key alarm metadata such as bounding boxes into VMS solutions that don’t currently handle metadata import, empowering operators to make faster, more informed decisions.

Analytics Marked-Up RTSP Video

intuVision VA functionality to stream RTSP video with customizable markup options provides rich display possibilities for third-party applications. The analytics overlays can be a powerful tool in drawing operator attention to regions and objects of interest - and is instrumental in providing visual feedback that the system is operating as expected.

Whether you have a Video Management System (VMS) or a custom solution with a dashboard, or a web portal you can use intuVision VA's analytics marked-up RTSP video stream. Using the current standard for transferring and ingesting live video, intuVision VA RTSP video stream can be ingested as it would be from any IP camera, with the added markups to show objects being tracked, event zones, etc. The type of mark-up is requested by adjusting the intuVision VA's RTSP URL, and include: object bounding boxes, object trails, classification markings, and event detection zones.

For users working with integrated VMSs, this allows operators to review and access intuVision VA detected events and objects within their preferred application. intuVision VA is integrated with many of the commonly used VMSs, and can already send event detection metadata to them such as AXIS Camera Station, Milestone Systems, and exacqVision, the RTSP stream lets you do more. For video management systems which do not have metadata import capability, intuVision VA RTSP stream leverages the VMS's innate ability to take RTSP video input. For video management systems with which intuVision VA is not yet integrated - RTSP stream still allows for operators to benefit from intuVision's video analytics detections, as they can see that the bounding boxes for alerting objects turn red.

intuVision VA RTSP markup options include:

  • Show bounding boxes - to display bounding boxes of all detected and tracked objects in the scene, the bounding boxes of objects which have triggered an alarm will be red.
  • Event Markups - event configuration overlays can be selected to be overlain on the video, showing the regions of the scene where objects triggers events.

The analytics marked-up RTSP video enriches the available functionality from the intuVision VA API, including:

  • Full event details - access to detailed information for each detected event, including date, time, object classification type, image snapshot(s).
  • Event counts - access tallies for event occurrences.
  • Heatmaps - create dwell or motion heatmaps, for selected cameras, and object classes.
  • Parking occupancy - access availability status for parking garages or parking lots.
  • Video and frame information - access image snapshots, live video, frame details.
