"Large scale deployment was implemented remotely by myself and intuVision support team, working in partnership with integration company to roll out the analytics on all 88 cameras with a minimum of man hours. Flexible intuVision support ensured optimal results with minimum training from the new partner.”
Large parking garage in downtown of large US city experiencing high number of vehicle break ins and other incidents, required a video based security system capable of covering large areas, with minimal cameras, to reliably alert on loitering people. Integration with ExacqVision was required, both for video ingestion as well as event review.
intuVision Security deployed on 88 cameras across 8 parking garage levels.
intuVision VA Security provides robust and flexible security detection across a variety of environments and requirements.
Learning the scene background and adjusting to changing lighting conditions is crucial in outdoor or semi-outdoor environments, including tools to ensure alerts are only generated for suspicious people.
Hardware: 2 custom intuVision Windows Servers
Software: 88 channel intuVision VA Security v. 13.1, exacqVision
Large project to deploy loitering analytics across the eight levels of a downtown parking garage, with a focus on preventing theft and property damage.
exacqVision VMS already in use for video review, with use expanded to cover the entirety of the parking garage, with intuVision VA powered alerts sent to exacqVision for easy review by security staff.
Primary requirements were high accuracy with quick alert for suspicious activity in the parking garage, while minimizing nuisance alerts to ensure security staff is able to respond to threats quickly and efficiently. Using a minimal number of cameras to cover the parking garage allowed the integrator to keep costs low, and leveraged intuVision’s built in scene perspective features as well as flexible classification.
Day/night modes allowed for automatic switching from daytime settings to nighttime settings, based on sunrise and sunset times, ensuring high accuracy throughout changing lighting conditions.
Using intuVision’s custom hardware also allowed for a low-cost deployment, by using hardware designed to meet the project requirements, without unnecessary features, as well as simplified the bidding process for the integrator. Since the computers shipped with the software already installed and with the initial configuration, it allowed for faster deployment, and shortened the deployment time.
