Panoptes Event Detectors

A large component of our surveillance video analysis software is the capability to alert the user to the occurrence of suspicious activities.  These event spies form the foundation for both Panoptes and for our Video Analytics SDK.  The event templates available from which to create event-spy solutions are Activity, Direction, Idle Object, Line-Crossing, Object Taken and Perimeter. These can be employed to create event-spy solutions, as described below.

Abandoned Object

The Panoptes Idle event template can be configured to detect objects left in a monitored area. For instance, a backpack containing possible explosives, left on the perimeter of a high security area, could be detected and confiscated.

Intrusion

The Panoptes intrusion alarm detects, tracks and classifies humans or other objects entering designated, controlled areas. If a person is breaking into a controlled area, for instance a high security facility, or the cars on a car lot, Panoptes will send out an alarm.

Stopped Vehicle

The Panoptes Idle event, paired with robust object classification algorithms detects vehicles idling for longer than a specified time range, while allowing groups of people to do so.

Zone Violation

The Panoptes perimeter crossing or activity events can alarm when an object or person enters a prohibited area. This can catch people attempting to tailgate through a secure portal, enabling a rapid reaction from your security personnel.

Wrong Direction

The Panoptes direction event can be configured to alarm with any movement against the specified direction. This can be used to identify a vehicle turning unexpectedly into a restricted area, or a person unexpectedly entering an exit only door.

Line Crossing

Alarms when people or vehicles move past a user-drawn line. This can be used to determine if a group of people is approaching a building entrance.

Object Taken

The Panoptes object taken event can be used to alert in instances of theft, security personnel will be notified if an object is removed from a specified area.

Loitering

Panoptes tracks and generates alarms when multiple people loiter in a designated area. An example of use would be to determine if a group of people is collecting to attempt to cross a border.

Video Analytics SDK

The solutions above can all be used in our Video Analytics SDK. This powerful Software Design Kit allows the user to combine the ease of our Panoptes system with the options available through an SDK, creating customizable, yet easily implementable video analytics products.
